This is what we woke up to this morning...FROST! It was so pretty to us California folk, so pictures were in order.
It kinda looks like snow, right?


Cameron was CERTAIN it had snowed and I wasn't about to rain on his parade.

When I made my starbucks run this morning my thermostat in my car read 31*
I can't remember a time when it has been *that* cold at 10:00am.
Thus, Gabby looked like this:

A VERY pleasant surprise

You may recall a while back where I was super excited because our regional center was going to pay for 50% of Gabby's formula. I had to jump through a ton of hoops, but eventually the formula made its' way to my doorstep and I was extremely grateful. Her doctor advised that she continue on this formula until she was one and then we would re-evauluate.
We were starting to run low since they provided for only half of what she would need until May. I was starting to think about stocking up on this stuff since it is so darn expensive. Then, this afternoon my doorbell rang.
To my pure delight, there were 3 cases waiting for me!
HOORAY!
I made a display for you all ;)







I am so so thankful for our regional center and all of the wonderful things they offer.
This is $750 worth of formula.
WOOHOO!

Remind me to never allow Moon Sand in my home ever again.

Okay, so this stuff is TOTALLY fun to play with but oh WOW, it it ever messy!
This was only the second time I let Cameron play with it and I was sitting right next to him blogging.
After about five minutes, this was the result...

Faulty Christmas

This past weekend, we hosted "Faulty Christmas" (my husband made up that name) Basically, everyone had to bring a "faulty" gift. The winner of the faultiest gift would win a cash prize.
It was also a big UFC night so everyone was watching the fight as well.

For whatever reason, whenever people come over to our house, Cameron thinks it's our guests' job to rub his back...and they ALWAYS oblige.

After the fight, it was time for the gift unveiling. For whatever reason, I let the guys handle this and so they elected ONE person to open ALL of the gifts. Where's the fun in that?! Oh well, Mike did a great job of being excited by all of the lovely gifts!


Another rule was that if anyone in the crowd "wanted" the gift, it was no longer deemed "Faulty" therefore, the gift was then disqualified.

Wouldn't you know there was a girl there who was THRILLED over this Michael Phelps calendar?! I guess it wasn't faulty enough.

There were a couple of gifts that I couldn't share on here...

How about a child's DO-RAG? Cameron enjoyed it.


We had so much fun with all of the gifts. It ended up that no one "won." We couldn't decide which gift was the worst, so we declared everyone a winner.
After the gift exchange, the boys did a little bit of this...




Somehow, someway, Cameron lasted the ENTIRE night. We know that when we host parties like this, there is no way he is going to bed without a fight, so usually he just crashes on the floor somewhere. Not this night. Everyone started dispursing around 1:45 am and Cameron was awake to walk them all to the door. But as soon as our guests were gone, Cam was too. He slept in until about 10:00 the next morning, thank goodness.
It was a really fun party. I am sure my housekeepers had great fun with all of the interesting things they found strewn about on Monday.
I know I was chuckling when I stepped in a wet spot on my carpet only to later figure out some douche had leaked out of one of the gift bags. Fun stuff.
Can't wait for next year!

What happens when two adults lose one Wii remote?

They go insane looking for the remote since they now cannot have a tetris battle like they do EVERY night, thus completely throwing of their evening dynamics.
You don't even want to know how many times we lookied in the couch for the stupid remote.
This nearly ruined my Christmas.







And even after all that, it didn't show up.
Not to mention the fact that Nguyen and I BOTH looked through the nasty garbage can outside thinking it was accidentally thrown away with all of the boxes and wrapping paper.
We did end up finding it the next morning...
In the laundry room.
