I got a phone call from my dad a couple of days ago and it wasn't pretty. I knew I hadn't updated my blog in over a week but I had no idea my family would be getting all huffy about it :)

So anyway, this is for you dad! I have a lot of pictures from the month of December but we'll just start with Christmas Eve...

11/26 During Thanksgiving dinner we went around the table and said what we were thankful for. Cameron also started to educate us on Pilgrims and Indians. I asked him "What did the Pilgrims do" and without missing a beat he said, "stole all the land from the Indians."


11/28 Cameron is at that curious age where EVERY question is followed by a "Why?" and every response to the "why" is then also followed by a "why?" We have been answering his questions as best we can but after about the fourth or fifth "why" I tend to drop the "well, why do YOU think?" line to which Cameron always responds with, "Aw, just FORGET about it!"



12/6 For whatever reason, Cameron has started referring to Train Conductors as "Seductors." He tells me almost on a daily basis that he is going to be a "Seductor" when he grows up. Nice.

A few weeks ago, we entered to win an adorable pair of Sherbert Booties over at Lianna's blog, "My Life With Gabriel." Check out the adorable video above where they revealed that we won! I was so excited...I even told Lianna that if we didn't win, I wanted to order a pair because they are just too cute! So thank you, Lianna and Gabriel. Gabby is loving her booties and so am I!

Oh and ps- Today is Lianna's birthday! Happy Birthday to you!

Gabby has been crusing like mad and her new favorite thing to do is to push herself off from whatever it is she is holding on to and try and balance. The longest she has gone was about five seconds, but she is relentless. It really is her most favorite activity right now.

How cute are the bottom's of these booties?! Lianna- you are so talented!

This weekend, my dad and baby sister are visiting so I decided a little sisterly bonding time was in order. Emily is four and is at the age where lip gloss and nail polish are a MUST and so I thought it would be a lot of fun for the two of us to go have pedicures together. Once I told her we were going to go have our nails painted, she couldn't stop talking about it-she was absolutely thrilled!

We got to the salon and began browsing the color choices. I said "Oooooh EMILY! Look at this sparkley pink color!" to which she replied, "No...I've already tried pink...and Red!" How about this?" pointing to the electric blue polish. (I tried for the more subtle choices...I swear I did!)

After we made our color selection Emily sat quietly in the big massage chair and took in her surroundings. Finally, Mai (she gives the BEST pedicures ever) came over and began chatting with Em. The first thing out of Emily's mouth was how her sister (me) had a "REAL DUMB DOG!" Mai shook her head and said "YES!" over and over again as I blushed...just a little. I am pretty sure Mai had no idea what Emily was saying and Emily was sure to tell Mai "I don't know what you're talking about." anytime Mai spoke to her. It was a GREAT conversation, let me tell you.

Just thought I'd do a fly by post and give you all a small update on the happenings around here...

We're currently getting over a nasty virus (the advice nurse thinks it all started with Nguyen and that it MUST have been H1N1.) I'm actually starting to doubt that theory being that Cameron, Gabby and myself ALL got the vaccine yet we ALL got sick. Granted, no one got near as sick as Nguyen did but still! Who knows. I am trying to get my voice back...it's really frustrating being ignored by everyone because they "can't hear" me. Yeah right...nice try Cameron.

Anyway, we have been hanging around the house, just being lazy. I gutted our playroom and donated four garbage bags full of toys so we have been spending more time in there as a family since it's newly organized and actually pleasant to be in there. Gabby has discovered a bunch of new COOL toys and is often seen sprint-crawling towards that room, trying to get there before anyone notices her. Stinker.
