Last week we attended the 2009 Harvest Festival put on by our local County Office of Education from whom we receive services such as physical, occuptaional, and speech therapy. I thought it would be fun (especially for Cameron) so we headed out to play games, eat yummy food, and make new friends.
.
.
One of the activities they had for the kids was a "cupcake walk." Cameron was ALL about the cupcake walk. In fact, it was the first thing we did at the festival.
.

.

.
And then there was this "game" where you picked two tootsie pops and if the bottom of the stick was red, you won an extra special prize. Cameron picked four and none of them were red on the bottom but the lady felt bad I guess and gave him an "extra special" prize anyhow. It was a mini beachball- woooooHOOOO!
.
.
He did a little fishing.
.
He was pretty much infatuated with this plastic pumpkin bookmark. I think it was his most favorite prize from the whole night.
.
.
After games, Daddy met us at the festival where we headed indoors and grubbed on Chevy's.
I failed to take any pictures inside because I was too busy stuffing my face.
.
Overall, it was a fun evening and I know Cameron had a lot of fun. It was so nice to get together with other special needs families and let the kids interact. We'll definitely be going back next year!

He started getting bored with some of the kiddie games, so we headed back to ole' faithful:
