Tiffany and Julian tie the knot!!

This past Saturday marked the day my best friend got married. It was such a beautiful day and I am not convinced it could have gone any smoother.
.
On Friday night, all of us girls (bridesmaids) spent Tiff's last single night with her in her apartment. Tiff even surprised us with a special slideshow she had proffessionally created for us. It was such a sweet gift.
.
In the morning, we headed over to the Mother of the Bride's house to get ready for the very special day.
.
A self-portrait of Ashley and I getting ready:

and another one of Lauren and I
.
.
Ashley helped Tiffany with her wedding day make-up and did a fabulous job!
.

.

.

For obvious reasons, I don't have any pictures of the actual ceremony but I can ASSURE you it was absolutely beautiful and I am so glad I got to stand up there with all of my girls!

.
After the ceremony, we all piled into the limo and had to keep from barfing all over the place because of this:

.

(I'm totally kidding...they were sweet)
.
We finally made our way to the reception and had an absolutely wonderful evening.
.
One of my favorite moments from the evening was the bouquet toss.

(check out Lauren...she means business!)
.

.
SHE CAUGHT IT!!
.

(Jason, her boyfriend was seen sprinting out of the reception hall just seconds after the bouquet landed in her eager hands.)
.
The bride later joined us on the dance floor:

where we all had BEYOND a great time.

Later in the evening, there was not a dry eye to be found when Tiff shared a dance with her sweet grandpa on the dancefloor.

.
See? We're crying!
.

.
We danced until we could dance no more.
I'd say the bride and groom were pretty pooped out as well.
.

.
The day was such a beautiful success and I am so happy for my friend.
I love you, Tiffany and Julian!

A day at the bridal salon!

My best friend Tiffany recently got engaged and since the majority of us were in town for the holidays, we decided to take a trip to the Bridal salon to scope out some dresses.
We decided to embarrass Tiff along the way :)

Tiff's bridal consultant had a brief meeting with her about what she was looking for in a dress; what she loved, what she hated, etc...
HATED.
She felt like a mummy.
But she still had fun with it.

Definitely not.

Eh...not so much. I believe this was the dress that she felt made her look as if she were
"with child."

On to some winners...

You can't tell from this pic, but this gown is covered in lace and had beadwork throughout the entire dress. I think Tiff decided this was the style of dress she was going for, and we agreed it looked great on her.

The front of the dress with a sash we had the consultant grab so we could envision.

She likes!

The back

Some more detail...

After we figured out what look Tiff was going for, she told us to look through a catalog and pick out dresses for her to try on. She said "just tell the lady, don't even tell me."
(insert evil snicker here)

This was the first one we picked.
Another winner!

Pretty!

Back

Remember how she said " Just tell the lady, don't even tell me"

???
Lauren told the consultant to bring the most hideous dress she had in the store. She came back with this powder blue monstrosity. I wish the color showed up more in the pics. When I saw Tiff in this dress, my knees buckled and I was on the ground in tears. Literaly.

Maybe you had to be there. :)

After Tiff's fashion show, it was time for the maids to try on some rags.
These were the winners of the afternoon. Everyone loved the dresses on because they were so flattering.

Pretty Girls!

Phew. Trying on dresses is hard work. Tiff was beat by the end of our appointment, but it was a success. She didn't find the dress, but she got a lot of great ideas!
Sorry it took so long to get these up T...i'm a slacker!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

I finally uploaded these pics.

so I thought I would share, even though they're a couple of weeks old now.
This seems to be our (the BFF's and me) new hangout.
It's a really old dessert diner. SO fun...and it is open way late so we get to hang out and chat until the wee hours of the morning ; ) Fun stuff!

This was the night that Jenny was supposed to surprise the girls. She has been living in Tennessee attending med school (have I mentioned how proud I am of her?)
But anyway, she was supposed to keep it a surprise and then show up for dinner one night, but she couldn't contain her excitement and ended up surprising Tiff earlier than planned.

Tiff

so while Lauren (who still didn't know about Jenny) was on her way, Tiff and I found a seat in the diner, while Jenny and her sister got a booth directly behind us with their backs facing us. Lauren finally arrived and sat down. Eventually, jenny and her sister started messing with Lauren's hair and Lauren turned around to give them a piece of her mind when she recognized that familiar face! It was a fun moment!! :)

We spent the rest of the evening catching up while eating way too many delicious things.

yummy.

Tiff, Lauren, and Amanda

Eventually, Jenny's jetlag caught up to her and she had to get home due to lack of sleep.
We had a great time and can't wait to go back to the diner for more!!

slacker.

that's me. I have justified my not posting in over 24 hours by the fact that I posted twice on friday (I think it was friday?)...so there.

Anyway. Our weekend was pretty low key. On saturday we had to get Nguyen's flat feet looked at which I mentioned in my last post. That was way exciting...not.

While we were in the Ville', we decided to stop by a new outdoor mall thing. It was pretty cool and they had a train for the kids to ride so OF COURSE, cam was all over it and OF COURSE, I did not have my camera with me. Boo.

Sunday Nguyen was back to work and Cam went to Nguyen's parent's house. Gabby and I caught up on some household chores and went to the bookstore. I had plans with the girls for later that evening so my mom came over to watch Gabby since Cameron had a birthday party to attend.

The girls and I went to Chevy's and my friend Lauren decided two strong-ass margaritas were too many to safely drive home after consuming. SO, I got nominated to drive home. Cool...except uh...did you know these still existed?

That's right. It's "THE CLUB."

I noticed it when we were driving to the restaurant, but we were to engulfed in conversation for me to tease her about it.

I made Tiff take my picture with it. That's me looking back at lauren thinking to myself "SERIOUSLY LAUREN?"

Seriously.

We got back to Lauren's house and watched some Dane Cook. I had a good laugh that left my facial muscles aching. I love when you laugh so hard your face hurts. Dane Cook is too much. I would post a you tube clip of my favorite part, but there is a few too many F-Bombs for some, I think. So, I spare you all. If you're bored, go to Youtube and search for his segment on "15 cents." I died.

Since it was Sunday, we ended the night at 11:30 and I drove home. It was a fun night out with the girls...can't wait to do it again!
